Mr. Tea Episode #23 – Earl Grey MarTEAni by Mr. Tea on Vimeo

In this episode, I’ll try a tea with a twist, for the adult viewers (which hopefully is all of you). I was told I HAD to try this earl grey martini, where tea is infused into gin for 3 hours, then mixed with simple syrup, fresh squeezed lemon juice, and an egg white. As it turns out, it’s amazing. Since I’m sure you’ll want to try it yourself, here’s the recipe:

1 1/2 oz. Earl Grey infused Gin (infuse 14 teabags of earl grey tea for 3 hours in a 1.75L bottle of Tanqueray gin)

1 oz. simple syrup (1 part water, 1 part sugar)

3/4 oz. fresh squeezed lemon juice

1 egg white

Then shake like crazy, and enjoy. Let me know your thoughts if you get a chance to try it. Cheers.

In this episode I take a look at a French Breakfast from a small tea company in Madison, Wisconsin, called ChaCha Tea. They use almost exclusively fair trade tea, and have a great variety of teas and teaware. The French Breakfast is the tea that I try in this video, but I’ve also tried their Caramel Rooibos and Organic Ginger Peach teas, which were both very good teas. Cheers.

In this episode I’ll break down different types of teas so you can know what to expect from each kind. Learn the differences between White, Green, Oolong, & Black teas. From the taste, to the brewing instructions, to the health benefits, this is your quick guide to tea. Cheers.

In this episode, I take a look at a few more teas from Talbott Teas, including two teas created specially for Oprah (yes, THE Oprah). The first one is a very unique blend called Earl Grey Enchantment. Unlike most Earl Grey teas, this is a rooibos based tea, with a less bite and no caffeine. Second, I try Field of Purple Flowers, a green tea with peach flavors. This tea has a soft flavor, but is extremely soothing and easy to drink. Cheers.

Recently, I’ve been getting a lot of requests for a close up of the family portrait that resides over my right shoulder in all of my videos. Well, as might have figured, I’m a man of the people, so I introduce to you the Wright family portrait, circa 1990. And, yes, as @melaniemagic so appropriately pointed out, those are flying pandas on the front, and our names running down the sleeves – the Wright’s don’t do anything half ass.

In this episode, I take a look at a tea from a fun tea company called Revolution Tea. They have a lot of great packaging ideas to make loose leaf tea easy to drink on the road or at home. While I love their marketing and packaging, the tea is nothing to write home about. The White Pear that I try in this episode is pretty bland all the way around. I guess I’ll have to give some of their other blends a shot. Cheers.

When you hear the term “male cheerleader”, do you think “that guys is genius” or “that guy is gay”? Either way, that guy is spending a lot of time with good looking girls, and very little competition. Similarly, knowing about tea has afforded me a lot of opportunities to share my experiences with good looking girls. In this episode, I’ll give guys three easy ways to act like you know about tea, so you too can use it to your advantage. Guys, thank me later. Cheers.
